You're probably wondering why our club needs a blog, seeing as most blogs are reserved for the posts of individual people, not a high school club. But, as we all know, the GSA is not simply an ordinary high school club! And basically, we needed a more concrete and organized way of keeping club members up to date on the club's agenda. So from now on, blog entries will be posted, probably weekly, informing members of upcoming dates and events in the club, or summarizing important club-happenings in case anyone missed a meeting.
Sound good? Hope so.
So for today's blog entry #1, I would like to notify you of a change of plans regarding the officer nominations. At today's club meeting, Cris announced that nominations would be held on April 9th. However, nominations have been moved over to April 23rd because NEXT club meeting we will be hosting several guest speakers! These speakers will be discussing discrimination and hate crimes, and club members are strongly encouraged to attend. Because these are our first guest speakers of the year, it would be awesome if we could all attend and show how appreciative we are of them taking the time to come visit and speak with us. So get excited, and make sure you show up next week!
